The renowned cylinder that provides the basis for the new 221cc MALOSSI cylinder kit, the MALOSSI 210 MHR, can be considered as the most technologically advanced performance cylinder available for the motor of PIAGGIOS Vespa PX 200. The high level of extra rpm that it can provide are made possible with port timings usually only used on motocross motorcycles. No wonder then that over 50 PS have been achieved with this MALOSSI masterpiece!
The Italians and their 221cc cylinder offer the ideal solution to Vespa PX model owners that already have a long-stroke (60mm) crankshaft as part of their motors set-up. Starting with the original 210cc cylinders layout, less material has been removed from the base of the cylinder. This eliminates the need for any gasket-surface spacers (or pack-up plates) which are usually required to convert standard stroke cylinders. The whole kit, as well as the included cylinder head, is optimally set up to be combined with a 60mm stroke crankshaft. In addition the piston included in this kit is designed to only have one piston ring – less friction = higher revs!

A high-end aluminium casting technology, a solid nicasil plated bore, seven transfer ports combined with a potent port dimensioning create the perfect basis for a reliable and thermally balanced performance cylinder. The patented MALOSSI CVF II cylinder layout, combined with a durable ASSO produced piston, supplies the cylinder with ample amounts of fresh fuel charge and are a guarantee for an enduring high performing motor. The piston is equipped with a narrow as well as tough wedge shaped single piston ring with a chromed frictional outer surface, which provides the optimal platform for the ultimate in high revs and performance!

Aluminium cylinder, 60mm stroke, 7 transfer ports, piston with 1 wedge-shaped piston ring including a hard-chromed frictional surface, MALOSSI High Turbolence Squish Racing (HTSR) cylinder head, all necessary gaskets are included in the kit. Although this cylinder kit can theoretically be mounted on an unmodified motor, for optimal exploitation of the performance potential the transfer port openings on the crankcases should be matched to those on the base of the cylinder. The base gasket provided in the kit provides an excellent template to mark the gasket surface prior to modification.
