If your engine has high mileage, has not been moved for a long time, is tuned or is losing fluid, it deserves having its 'cases cracked and a major service. All bearings, gaskets, oil seals and the primary drive should be replaced.
Grease all gaskets before use. For older motors a gasket sealant paste should be used for an efficient fit.
TECH-TIP: Do not forget to order gasket sets separately for your carb, clutch and if fitted, tuning cylinder, when replacing the other engine gaskets. New oil seals and fresh gear box oil should also be included for safe and enduring use of your motor.
