Rear Axle holding tool
Accurately and safely locks the drive axle wile it gets drawn in the to rear main bearing.
Used in conjunction with the axle pulling sleeve this make install a snap.
Instructions for best use,
Install axle with shift spider as far in to the bearing by hand.
Set the shift spider in to 2nd or 3rd gear position
Place holding tool on the exposed part of the axle and rotate until it makes contact with the case.
DO NOT let the tool rest on a endplate stud, it will smash the threads.
If the tool wants to hit a stud use an old end plate nut to protect the threads.
Once the axle is about 1/2 way home the tool will be below the studs.
Use your axle pulling sleeve and a rear hub nut to draw the axle home.
Draw the axle in using short 1/4 turns of the nut and then release tension on the tool
(turn wrench back until tool is loose). This allows the tool to stay perpendicular to the
drive axle and reduces the chance of marking up the case.
