It often occurs that the clutch push-rod slips when operated in a set up including stiffer clutch springs. The currently available reproduction items appear to be copied 1:1 from a badly-worn original component with rounded cog-teeth! To remedy this problem we are having an accurately dimensioned push-rod produced to our high standards for the clutch found on the Vespa PK XL models.
This all-new SIP clutch pushrod complements our range of specially produced components for Vespa smallframe models.
These items are manufactured using a high quality steel, tempered and precision finished to be 100% true to the original dimensions.
Additionally, our pushrods possess a clearly defined drive-cog teeth to provide a more solid drive train.
We also have an extended clutch pushrod available, providing an extra 2mm of reach (total length 14.25mm).
This 'Race' version has been designed to assist with length orientated clutch operation problems and to complement the vast array of various clutch types (& heights) and positioning possibilities, such as spacers and bearings etc.
A first class drive-train continuity combined with a clearly defined clutch biting-point will be the rewards when fitted and properly adjusted!
Conclusion : The commonly available reproduction clutch pushrods are usually manufactured with rounded drive teeth and vague dimensioning due to their cheap production. To solve this unfortunate state of affairs you now have the option of fitting a top quality SIP pushrod as a safe and reliable update!
